About Lifetime Metal Sales

History

Lifetime Metal Sales began as Luthy Metal Sales in 2006 when two brothers, Reuben and Ezra Luthy decided to manufacture metal roofing and siding. With a focus on speed and quality they grew and grew. By 2015, they worked out of a 27,000 square foot facility and employed 8 people. In 2016, the Luthy brothers sold their business to Ken Nelson, a friend and steel supplier with 25 years of industry experience. The coworkers of Lifetime Metal Sales continue to offer the speed, quality, and accuracy that make it a successful place. We work hard to make Lifetime a great place to work. We try every day to enrich the lives of our coworkers and customers through our values of integrity, service, and respect.

Location

We now work out of a 37,000 square foot facility that serves contractors and homeowners throughout Michigan. We search the world for the best metal processing equipment to give us the quality and productivity that our customers deserve. We work hard to reduce our environmental impact by running our plant with solar power, recycling all possible waste, and utilizing electric vehicles including forklifts and a Ford Lightning. We are excited to duplicate this effort with our second facility opening in Perry, Michigan, in 2024.

Product

We provide our customers with 5 different shapes of U.L. Certified metal roofing and siding and have plans to continue to expand that offering. We offer a large selection of stock standard trim pieces and custom-made trims that meet special one-of-a-kind applications.

Innovation

We have developed several industry-leading innovations such as trailers that safely and efficiently unload our products. We worked extensively in perfecting an anti-condensation felt that is utilized in post frame structures. Also, we partnered with a local fabricator to refine an improved applicator for said anti-condensation felt.
